Privacy policy

What we collect

Email addresses when you subscribe to updates, unlock free tools through our email gate, or write to us through the contact form. We use email only for the purpose you gave it to us—confirmations, replies, or occasional tips you opted into.

Affiliate click logs when you use links that route through /r/[slug]. Those logs typically include a timestamp, the tool slug, and basic technical data such as IP address and browser type so we can measure which recommendations actually help readers.

Analytics may be added later (for example Google Analytics 4). GA4 is not active today; if we turn it on, we will update this page and keep collection limited to what we need to understand traffic.

What we don't do

We do not sell your email list. We do not rent personal data to data brokers. When you click an affiliate link, the destination company may set its own cookies or pixels under their privacy policy—that is between you and them, not something we control.

Cookies we set

• aiinbiz_email_confirmed — a short-lived cookie (about seven days) that remembers you already shared an email to unlock free tools. Path /, SameSite Lax.
• Standard hosting cookies from Vercel or similar edge providers that keep the site fast and secure. They are not used to profile you for unrelated ads on our behalf.

How to delete your data

Email us through the contact form from the address you want removed, or send a note to hello@smarterworkhq.com if mail is configured for that inbox. Tell us what to delete (subscriber row, contact message copy, etc.) and we will confirm when it is done, subject to legal retention we might owe (for example chargeback records).

GDPR / CCPA snapshot

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete personal data we hold. We will honor verifiable requests within a reasonable timeframe. We do not "sell" personal information under the California CCPA definition. If you are in the EU/UK and believe we are processing data without a valid basis, contact us and we will work it out.

Updates

We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be posted here and, when appropriate, called out by email to active subscribers. Continued use of Smarter Work HQ after an update means you accept the revised policy.
